Automated Systems, Inc. has been awarded a validation contract to provide master planning services. The project involves providing validation master plans across all the division’s business segments. This will include bulk chemical, fermentation, and biological operations. Two plants in Puerto Rico are also included in the scope to the contract.
ASI will be assigning seven validation engineers and two project managers to the project to ensure that the 2nd quarter 2002 deadline is met. ASI has also implemented a customized database solution to help guarantee the project’s accuracy and efficiency. “The database will provide a home for the large amounts of data associated with validation master planning.” The database will track the validation status of the division’s equipment, facilities, HVAC, facilities, computer systems, test methods, cleaning methods, and laboratory equipment. The database will also provide automated planning and scheduling tools to assist in the division’s re-validation activities.
